Size Guide
Measuring your space
Getting started
Selecting the correct size of painting or print for the space you want to enhance is important. Artwork needs room to ‘breathe’ and any clutter around your artwork (such as cupboards, shelving, light switches or other fixtures) can significantly impact the presentation and your enjoyment of the piece.
As a very rough guide, you should aim for the following:
Horizontal spacing on either side of around 30% of the artwork width
The center of the artwork should be roughly at eye level when facing it standing up. The space from the top of the artwork to the ceiling (or coving) will vary based on the height of your piece, but you should aim for a healthy gap of around 30+cm.
Working backwards from these values, you should be able to select an appropriately-sized canvas or framed print to position in your space.
Canvas sizes
When requesting a paint, a re-paint or a quote for painted canvas artwork from us, you’ll need to let us know the type and size of art you want. The table below shows a range of standard canvas sizes we offer.
Choosing your canvas size
If you require a custom-size canvas, let us know in the Request a quote form of the Contact page. Otherwise, you can select a size from the table 1 below….

About framing your print
We do not supply frames for our artwork so you will need to source your frames separately for your digital print/poster.
However, we have created a short guide for you to know what measurements to provide to your framers.
FIgure 2 - The areas of your picture frame to measure
There are 2 measurements you need to be aware of (see above fig. 2):
If you have a full windowed picture frame, your print needs to fit inside the blue area in picture 1a.
If you have a window mat inside your frame, your print needs to fit inside the blue area in picture 1b.
2. For all picture frames, you need to make sure your print will fit comfortably inside the full area of the back of the frame shown in picture 2 where the poster will be placed.
Quoting
Once you have requested a quote on the Contact page, we will respond with a quote for the artwork and begin a dialogue with you on the buying process and begin the journey of creating unique, meaningful artwork for the spaces in your life.
